1. (-3)^2 should be 9 instead of -9 as (-) * (-) = (+)

2. when -3 is cubed, it is not suppose to have the end result of -9, but instead 9 as negative 3 times negative 3 is a positive number.

If x = -3, y = -1

= 2 x 9 - (-27) (-1)
= 18 - 27
= -9

9. (-)*(-) should be +, so (-3)^2 should be 9, not -9. (-)*(-)*(-)= (-), and (-)*(-)= (+), so -(-3)^2= 27
